Community art project developed with Fundación FANA. (Foundation for the assistance of abandoned children)

Bogota, Colombia

Through visits to the natural museums, the children were first introduce to the concept of natural dioramas, aesthetic used in biology studies to recreate certain natural environments. They learn about how certain fauna looks like but also how the environment it inhabits. While showing them also how the space was build, materials and scale.

Throughout workshops the children were guide to create an imagined environment where all individual ideas were taken in account but must been shared and developed with help from others. The elements then become a living collage of the childrens expressions and emotions through out the process of making.

As a result the space becomes their natural environment that can be explore, enjoy and share with everyone.
